Miguel Gómez Jene

Miguel Gómez Jene is Professor of Private International Law at the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and Counsel at Cuatrecasas. He previously served as Director of Studies at The Hague Academy of International Law. He has undertaken numerous research stays (totalling more than four years) at various foreign universities, funded by several institutions, including the Max Planck Institute and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

He has extensive experience in international civil litigation and in commercial and investment arbitration. He regularly acts as a legal expert before foreign courts and in arbitrations seated abroad.

He is the author of more than 150 publications on European and international civil procedural law and international commercial arbitration. He also authored the leading treatise International Commercial Arbitration (2nd ed., Aranzadi, 2023).
